Isabelle CAMI

Founding Partner

Isabelle graduated from ESSEC Business School in France, and since then she has gained over 27 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, including several years within industry, to the level of Country Manager for DAKO.

Before founding Quadrant, Isabelle also gained experience in consulting, working for ADL, ZS Associates, and ISO Healthcare Group, now part of Monitor Deloitte, where she met Jean-Pierre Covilard.

Isabelle and Jean-Pierre became business partners in 2011, teaming up to create Quadrant, and during almost 10 years together they have provided bespoke solutions that have really made a difference to a diverse range of healthcare companies, both global and local entities, across a wide range of therapeutic areas, and life-cycle stages.

Isabelle’s particular area of interest is leveraging the use of biomarkers and diagnostics to create more holistic product offerings, although as an experienced consultant she has collaborated successfully on numerous other projects. Typical examples include performance optimization through organizational design/re-design, supporting client teams to develop effective launch readiness strategies (for pharmaceuticals, biotech products or diagnostics), as well as optimizing strategic and tactical plans.

Away from work, Isabelle enjoys spending as much time as possible with her family and friends, as well as travelling for fun to learn about other cultures.

Jean-Pierre COVILARD

Founding Partner

Jean-Pierre has been active in the healthcare sector for more than 27 years in both consultancy and the pharma industry, where he started to work in finance and market access.

In over 21 years as a strategy consultant, he has worked with many diverse client companies, across a wide range of therapeutic areas, successfully guiding them through the development of more effective strategic plans, challenging them to optimize their investment decisions and supporting them to maximize the impact of their business opportunity assessments.

In 2011, Jean-Pierre teamed up with Isabelle Cami to create Quadrant, with the aim of providing healthcare companies with bespoke solutions that really make a difference.

Jean-Pierre graduated from EDHEC Business School in France. He enjoys architecture and seeks to voyage by boat whenever possible.

Laurent DUBALEN

Partner

Laurent has over 20 years’ experience in life sciences, in both consultancy (starting his career at ZS Associates), and pharmaceutical companies (Sanofi, Sandoz). His expertise covers global brand strategy, competitive readiness and performance analysis, especially across onco-hematology, respiratory, immunology and rare diseases, as well as a wide-range of other therapeutic areas. Additionally, his years at Sandoz France as a commercial director for the hospital portfolio gave him an in-depth understanding of the generics business. As a consultant, Laurent has proven himself to be an effective sparring partner for international cross-functional teams of several leading pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies.

Laurent studied engineering at ENSTA Paristech in France, and he still enjoys being based in Paris, although he will take advantage of any opportunity to go back to the South West of France where he grew up.

Sarah HUTT

Sarah has over 20 years of experience in life sciences across all stages of the brand life-cycle. She has specific interest in developing marketing and market access strategies, pre-license / pre-launch. Before becoming a consultant, Sarah spent 14 years working within the healthcare industry, reaching Director level positions in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, with responsibility for Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, and Business Intelligence functions. Her experience spans across human and animal life sciences, aqua health, and animal nutrition technology, and she has led projects involving vaccines, biologics, phytoceuticals, nutraceuticals and enzymes. Sarah has worked with Global brand teams, European brand teams, and those based within the UK and Ireland, representing a wide range of companies from Global ‘Top 5’, through mid-size, to biotech start-ups.

Sarah studied biochemistry at Aberystwyth University in the UK. She is now based in London, where she enjoys walking with her dog in the many parks, and making full use of the art galleries, theatres, and cinemas. Sarah also has a passion for early 20th Century architecture and spends as much time as possible travelling to the Art Deco capitals of the World, as well as working on Victorian or Edwardian renovation projects.

Sébastien PLANCHE

Sébastien has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry both with consulting agencies and pharmaceutical companies. As a consultant, he has developed expertise in brand planning, as well as process and organization design (including territory alignment, sales force effectiveness optimization and dashboarding) as a specialized consultant of the the pharma sector. Sébastien also worked 7 years at Astellas Pharma France as Business Services Manager for the French affiliate. Within Astellas, he managed 4 operational teams, Sales Force Effectiveness, Market Research, Market Access and Congresses, and participated in numerous Astellas Pan-European projects including Veeva implementation and European SFE project streams.

Sébastien is a Doctor in Pharmacy and graduated from the ESSEC business school in France.

Daniel SWANN

Daniel has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare space, working across pharmaceutical, biotech and payer clients. His expertise focuses on commercialisation, market access, and strategy. Amongst others, he has led projects relating to blockbuster product launches, portfolio management, strategic pricing, assets commercial due diligence, and corporate strategy. He has completed work across specialties with a particular focus on oncology, neurology, and auto-immune diseases.

Daniel was formerly an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company in Switzerland where he was a core member of the Healthcare practice working across Europe and the US. He has an MPhil from the University of Oxford (Brasenose College) and a BA from University College London. He is fluent in English, French, and Italian. He is based in Geneva and, outside of work, he enjoys making the most of the nearby lakes and mountains whether it is by skiing, hiking, or cycling. He also has a passion for rugby, cooking, and good wine.

Marianne JANCOU

Marianne has over 17 years of experience in consultancy and life sciences. She started her career as a strategy consultant at McKinsey where she became an Engagement Manager, before joining Amgen where she worked in Business Development and then Commercial Innovation.

Her expertise covers Value-Based Healthcare, Digital Health and Patient Journey Optimization, including Patient Support Programs, as well as overall brand strategy and cross-functional launch readiness.

Since 2021, Marianne has come back to consulting, where she enjoys supporting clients in delivering successful projects and product launches. She is passionate about transforming a vision into reality, and doing so, having a positive impact on people’s lives. She has a fact-based, results-oriented and “roll up her sleeves” mindset. One can rely on her to solve complex problems, in a trust-based relationship.

Marianne studied engineering at Ecole des Ponts ParisTech in France, and also has a Master in Economics and Management from the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. As a French citizen, she has been living in Switzerland for almost 20 years, where she founded a family. She practices yoga, hiking and skiing in the Swiss mountains. She enjoys travelling to new places, and regularly goes back to Barcelona, for its vibrant city life and Gaudi architecture.

Christophe LUSARDI

Christophe has more than nine years of consulting experience, working on a wide range of French, European, and international projects. He has worked on a wide variety of healthcare products in different medical indications including lung cancer, breast cancer, rheumatoid polyarthritis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease and multiple sclerosis. His areas of expertise include providing quantitative and analytical support to life sciences projects for clinical trial enrolment, assessment of current market and competitive environments, elaboration of integrated strategies, identification of partnership opportunities, and development of country / global forecasting platforms. Prior to joining Quadrant, he worked at international consulting firm Corporate Value Associates in China, Japan, and Australia.

Christophe studied Applied Mathematics at Centrale Paris and Finance at the ESSEC business school and is fluent in French, Italian, and English. He is now based in Basel, and he enjoys reading books on Italian history and exploring the Italian mountains where his family originated.

Marine RAVELEAU

Marine has five years of consultancy experience in the healthcare industry. She has participated in projects related to strategic thinking, opportunity assessment (asset valuation, geographic expansion, business development) and organization design (diagnosis and redesign of key pharma functions, including in redundancy plan contexts). Before that she worked 2.5 years for EY’s audit division, for clients in the life sciences sector but also media and luxury (fashion and spirits).

Marine holds a Masters of Engineering (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers) and a Masters of Sciences in Biomedical Engineering (Paris Descartes). As a former gymnast, yoga practice has become part of her daily routine to revive her old passion. Marine is French and based in Paris, although she has a particular fondness for traveling: tropical destinations with wild underwater ecosystems are on top of her list.

Nikolaj GRÜNDER

Nikolaj has over 6 years of experience in healthcare and life sciences, which he gained in consulting at Monitor Deloitte and with pharmaceutical- and life-science company Merck KGaA. His project focus lies on corporate and brand strategy, commercialization, and patient support. Nikolaj gained additional experience in healthcare startups, setting up a novel clinic and creating the pre-clinical and clinical development program for a new compound. Nikolaj worked across various therapeutic indications in prescription medicine, such as oncology, psychiatry or neurology, and in OTC, such as pain, allergy or digestive health.

Nikolaj lives in the outskirts of Frankfurt with his wife and son. In his free time, Nikolaj likes to sail, travel to remote locations and spend time with his family in the south of France. Nikolaj holds a BA in Business Psychology and a MSc in Management from ESCP Business School. He speaks German, English and French.

Anna MASSON

Anna has 10 years of scientific research experience in life sciences (oncology and immunology), at world-leading research institutes (Curie Institute in Paris, Karolinska Institute in Stockholm). Then she worked in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry and management consulting in life sciences in various therapeutic areas (oncology, rare diseases, cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, immunology) at different stages of drug development (from preclinical to commercialization). Anna has participated in projects related to opportunity assessment, go-to-market strategy, commercial due diligence, and competitive intelligence across US, Europe, and Asia.

Anna holds a PhD in Biochemistry and a postgraduate MSc in Management in Biopharmaceutical Industry from ESCP Business School. She is based in Paris, loves to travel, discover new places and visit friends that are spread all over the world.

Cloé AL-HAJJAR

Cloé is the newest addition to the team. She is currently doing the Advanced Master in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Management at Grenoble School of Management in Paris. She is also completing her apprenticeship at Quadrant as a junior consultant.

Cloé finished her Pharmacy doctorate with a Master in Pharmacology during which she found a passion for the Pharmaceutical industry. She has done internships in pharmacies, laboratories and hospitals as a clinical pharmacist.

Cloé is Lebanese and French and has started her new journey in Paris with enthusiasm. She loves to volunteer and to discover new landscapes in her free time.
